Established in 2008, vyTranslations is based in the extreme west of Canada, in the picturesque Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.

I am a full-time professional translator at your service...
As a French language specialist, I mainly translate from English into French. I never give up fighting with a sentence until it sounds natural and right in French. On the other hand, all translations from French into English are proofread and approved by native speakers and you always receive documents that are translated, edited and proofread.

Vincent Yerna

Founder and Translator, vyTranslations

I once dreamed of running my own business and first began translating comic books and graphic novels from a young age. I developed a real passion for translating while I was working with the Francophone Association in the Yukon Territory, as a literacy coordinator.

I have 7 years of experience in English to Canadian French translations with particular expertise in Health and Social Services, Education and Literacy, Nutrition, Immigration, Economic Development, Tourism and Travel, Canada’s North, Sports, Marketing communication (Press releases, Websites, etc.), and Literature. I am also specialized in writing and editing French documents such as letters, proposals, resumes, newsletters, etc.

I was born and raised in Belgium, with French as a mother tongue, and I have been living in Canada over the last 13 years.

University Degrees:  Translation (University of Manitoba), Bachelor of Social Work and Heath promotion and Communication certificate (University of Liège), Business Administration (HEC, Liège).
